TAN Prepares for Indigenous Peoples Day

Grade 6 student Makayla van Tamelen shows off the bag she decorated for tomorrow's community-wide Indignenous Peoples Day celebration at Riverfront Park as Mrs. McBeth, our FNMI liaison, holds the remaining samples of TAN students' artwork. The free event on June 19 takes place from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. and is organized by the Metis Nation of Alberta Region 6.

We will observe Indigenous Peoples Day on Monday, June 21 with various activities including an observance of the 215 lost children from the Kamloops Residential School and serving stew and fried bannock to all our in-person and online students, catered by the ever-popular Farmers Restaurant in Nampa.
